Shanghai, China, 3rd November 2008 – Dubai-based Emirates Airline recently announced a revision on a range of its Business and Economy Class fares, for tickets issued in China, to a number of popular destinations worldwide. For tickets issued for the morning service to Beijing, the fare reduction will start at 36 per cent onwards and will be applicable on 56 selected Emirates flights, including those to Amman, Doha, Dubai, Munich, London, Paris, Johannesburg, Mauritius, etc. Emirates is also offering passengers departing Guangzhou and Shanghai attractive discounts to several destinations in the Middle East, Europe, Africa and South America. Edwin Lau, Emirates’ Vice President, Greater China, said: “Demand for Emirates’ flights has remained robust, but we are glad to be able to introduce fare revisions in tandem with the lowering fuel prices. We believe that our latest round of revisions would be welcomed by our customers, particularly in light of the increasingly challenging economic climate. “Emirates is monitoring the situation closely. While we continue to provide a high-quality service and product, we are also working hard to keep our unit costs down so that we can keep on delivering the best value proposition to our customers.” In August, Emirates announced its first fare revision on the back of lowering oil prices for tickets issued in Middle East and GCC markets to over 20 cities in Europe, Far East and the Middle East. Based in Dubai, Emirates operates flights to 102 cities across six continents. On 26th October the airline commenced non-stop services between Dubai and Los Angeles, three times a week.
